Infant Massage
Learn the art of Infant Massage in a small group setting. Class size is limited to 8 babies and is appropriate for babies age 6 weeks to crawling. One or both parents are invited to attend with their baby. The approach is interactive, emphasizing communication with babies and awareness to their cues.
Benefits of Infant Massage:
~Enhanced Bonding
~Reduction in discomfort from colic, gas, and constipation
~Enhanced immune system
~Improved sleep
~Enhanced body awareness
~Increased sense of being loved and accepted
~Decrease in fussiness
~And, many more………
Central to all of the many benefits of Infant Massage are the deepened relaxation and bonding which benefit both parent and baby. Parents find doing massage with their little ones relaxes them too. Additionally they gain a deeper understanding of their baby’s communication cues. Parents are encouraged to massage and communicate with babies in an interactive method which acknowledges the baby’s individual needs and developmental level. The classes are found to be both supportive and informative with discussions on touch and related topics such as infant crying and communication.
